This past weight-loss challenge turned out awesome! I am going to be brave and post my final picture after our 14 week challenge. I ended up losing 21 lbs and 14.64% of my body weight and took 2nd place...$100. YES I am wearing spandex...haha...and no I did not photoshop either one of these pictures. :)

GULP...I just put that on the world wide web....deep breath....ANYWAY the winner of the challenge lost 39 lbs and 15.29% of his body weight and he won $200.
I am a true believer if you want to make a healthy change in your lifestyle it is possible, you just have to have the will power, put forth the effort and hold yourself accountable! :)
Since the last weight-loss challenge was a success we have decided to do a round 2. This will begin April 24th and go until July 3rd (10 weeks). There will be 2 options in this challenge.
Option 1: THE WEIGHT-LOSS CHALLENGE
April 24th - May 29th
- Everyone pays $15. $10 will go into the final prize pot. $5 will go into a team challenge pot. This must be paid by the 2nd week of the challenge or you will be eliminated, if you quit during the 10 weeks it is non-refundable.
- The first 5 weeks will be in teams. The teams will be divided evenly based on Body Mass Index (BMI).
- Every Saturday EVERYONE will post their individual weight on a PRIVATE Blog.
- The number of pounds lost on each team will be tallied. The team with the greater amount of pounds lost will be allotted a certain amount of money, that will go in the team pot.
- IF a team member gains weight that amount will be taken out of that team's pot and given to the other team or put back into the challenge pot. For example if a member gains 3 lbs in a week that team loses 3 dollars.
- The objective is to get as much money in your team's pot to be divided between each person on the team at the end of the 5 weeks.
- The final 5 weeks will be individual based and instead of pounds the final winner will be based on weight-loss percentage. Depending on the amount of people, there may be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner OR the top male and female. Final weigh-in will be July 3rd.
- Each Saturday EVERYONE posts their weight on the PRIVATE Blog. You are alloted 1 missed week. If you miss 2 weeks with-out notifying anyone you will be eliminated, NO REFUNDS.
- On Monday Morning of each week a ranking list will be posted to show the standing of each person's weight-loss percentage.
Option 2: HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHALLENGE
- This section of the challenge is for those who are maintaining or do not want to participate in the weight-loss challenge.
- Each person pays $10 to the Healthy Life Pot. Each dollar represents a week in the challenge.
- Those in this challenge commit to exercising 30 minutes, 5 times a week or more.
- On Saturday, EVERYONE weighs in on the PRIVATE Blog. This weigh-in is your current body weight, as well as an honest account of your 5 days of 30 minute exercise.
- If you did not meet the exercise regiment you lose your dollar that week and it is placed in a Healthy Life Winner's pot.
- This continues until week 10 (July 3rd), when each person weighs in for the final time. The person with the highest weight-loss percentage gets the winner's pot.
- The objective is to make it to July 3rd and get ALL of your $10 back, and have a habit of exercising 5 times a week and living a HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE!

Chris! YOu look awesome! Count me in 110%. That's a perfect time too, my family will be gone from visiting and we leave for Utah June 24th, so I'll have about 1 week on vaca to stay strong. Just the incentive I need. I'm in for the weight loss challenge and after all teh pics my mom's taken during her trip here, I'll have plenty of yucky before photos.

I heard about this from Jessica Harries and am interested in joining! I have a lot of weight to lose, so I would like to go with option 1.
You look amazing!! Seriously SO brave to post the pics! But you look great!! And dito to what the first comment said, what exercising are you doing and how are you eating? I might be interested in doing option #1, I need to lose about 15 lbs. so this would be a good motivation for me. I need to look good for the cruise we are going on! Ah heck!! Sign me up! Let me know where to mail the check. :)
I'm in again! I'll be doing option 1. I'm going to spread the word to my family so hopefully we'll get some more people interested. Thanks for putting this all together (I definitely need it!)
Can I be pregnant? For now I am allowed to swim and walk. I wouldn't mind the motivation to keep in shape so I am ready for my September Marathon! :) Obviously I won't be loosing weight since my objective is to gain. . . but I would like to exercise!
