Growing up I had the best role models ever! I spent A LOT of my younger years in the Black family home as my mother was sick with cancer and my father was a truck driver. The Black girls (Charlotte, Suzie and Jody) took good care of my brothers and I. My favorite toys as a child were my Suzie Doll and Jody Bear. I really love and admire everything about the Black family.
I felt very flattered to take Suzie's family pictures as she is an awesome photographer and has taught me quite a bit. Although, I knew it would not be an easy task as Steve her husband LOVES to tease! Steve has been able to make me turn red since day one, when he gave me a make believe boyfriend named Alfred. :) When I was a junior in high school he made me bring my prom date to their home for question and answering. ;) Although, I was thankful for him later that night when he saved me on the dance floor. I was put in the royalty and my dad was not there to dance with me, Steve saw me panic on the dance floor and picked up the pieces. This is just one of the MANY examples of how Suzie and Steve have been there for me. I love and respect this family very much!

These kids make me feel so old! I babysat them as babies and they are so grown up now.

This pictures make me wonder what Steve was doing behind my head to get these natural smiles...hmmmm
